If one stands on the Capitol steps and looks down East Capitol Street, the Bethune Memorial and Lincoln Park can easily be seen. Dolphin Thompson, a lover of history not only thought of memorializing one of the world's greatest ladies…he moved to do something about it. Mr. Thompson's goal of presenting a narrative picture story of black achievement in our Nation's Capital has been accomplished.
